Iphone Update

I often snap pics with my iphone and forget to upload these images!  They are always fun ones though and often show what day to day life looks like.  No day is complete without this sweet dogface.  Bijou really is the best.

Luca had a super fun end of season soccer party!  We love the families on this team and always have a great time with them.  We all met at a really fun restaurant with a huge area with corn hole and other games for the kids.  The fire pits were lit and everyone celebrated another great season.

Mia and her friend at the soccer party.

Pipsqueak is a part of the family now.  It's a routine to play with him every evening.

My football obsessed cutie.  He has asked if this is why we named him Luca, because the letters are the same as in the school he feels he might be destined to play football for....UCLA.

He's in religious school and he brought this home last week. I had to smile.

Grateful

I am so deeply grateful for so much.  I have so many incredible riches in my life, and I love to acknowledge them.
I made a gratitude tree the other day and it has been fun to write something on a leaf every so often.  The kids have gotten in on it too!  My goal was to have a designated place this season to notice and name those things in our life that make us feel deeply appreciative.

Friendship is something I have valued my whole life.  My dear friends are so special to me. I saw Melanie last week to support her in her craft fair.  She is an amazing artist and has begun to sell her work all around town.

While I was there, I ran into another dear friend!  It was meant to be.

Her girls ran up to Mia and seeing these cuties together makes my heart happy.

I was able to hang out with two great college dearies recently too.  Even though we don't see each other often, it felt like home.

My mom and her dear friend Cindy watched the kids the other night so V and I could run downtown to dinner.  Seeing Cindy run to the trampoline and begin jumping with the kids made me smile.  I feel so grateful to have these moments in my life that just seem a bit magical.

Luca's Day as a Scientist!

Luca had to prepare a science experiment to share with his class.  He had to write out a hypothesis and then test his idea.  We practiced all week making sure his volcano would indeed explode when it was time.

His teacher was so great to send me all of these photos!  The experiment was a big success and Luca came home with the biggest smile.  Maybe science is his future.

Halloween 2016

Mia and two of her friends went as The Queen of Hearts, Alice, and The Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland.

We had to use some fake hair to make the rolls in her hair and we couldn't get it exactly right on one side, hence the black hair sticking out! I thought it made the costume work even better though!  Sometimes mistakes can work in your favor I explained.  The girls had fun getting ready together and then they went off to a pre trick or treating party.

Luca was a ninja.  I had to convince him to take his face mask off before he left to eat something.  This was the perfect costume for my real ninja running through the dark.
