These cute Girl Scouts went on a hike together this weekend.  Gotta love Colorado girls.

Boulder Blast

I saw that Luca wrote this as his first personal narrative at school.  I smiled because bringing the kids up to campus and showing them my old dorm room and the rest of the school was one of my favorite memories from this summer.  I love that I'm raising a potential future Buff.

Volleybal

And so it begins....fall sports.  Mia is playing volleyball this year and loves it.  She may be tiny but this girl has some mad skills.

Scenes of Late Summer

I love this.  A friend and I sat out on the front porch on our adirondack chairs and the kids set up this magical little space.  I watched them dragging things out of the house and garage and just didn't care because it looked like so much fun.  They pulled out an old box fan from the basement, an extension cord from the garage to plug it in, old sheets, sleeping bags, giant rocks from the side of the house and more "stuff" for the inside of their tent.  They figured out a way to blow air through the top sheet to create a tent of sorts and hid out inside.  If this isn't summer, I don't know what it.

I pulled up to this several weeks ago after work one late afternoon.  My only thought was, "Do I have enough food to feed all of these kids?"

Mia has a polaroid camera and it takes the best shots....always with such a vintage feel.  I found this on the floor as I was cleaning up Mia's room and laughed because this exact photo could have been taken by me 30 years ago.  Except I wouldn't have been standing on an electric scooter.  Cute little gang of neighborhood mates.

We had the family over for dinner and did smores on the fire pit for dessert.  Owen joined us!  He was home for the night from CSU and it felt so good hanging out on a lazy Saturday night with people we love.

These two.

The Trampoline

The trampoline arrived and it sat in the boxes for a week before V and I had time to open them up and get it set up.  Andrew was nice enough to come over and offer one more set of hands.  This thing is a beast!

It's a blast.

Back tucks.  Back handsprings.  Layouts.  Front flips.  Basketball.  Football.  You name it, they are doing it on the tramp.

A Weekend With Family

My sister and I met my mom in VA for a weekend to visit our aunt, uncle, and cousins.  It was an incredibly quick trip but so fun to have time with relatives I don't often see, and time with my mom and sister.

Emily and I stayed at an enchanting property in Northern VA but set in rolling hills.  It was so beautiful and relaxing.

We celebrated my aunt's 80th b-day and had a great dinner.
